This home was built in the early 1800’s and is believed to be the oldest home on Isle Madame. As homes often were in those days, it was of log construction held together by wooden pegs. The house stands atop a hill overlooking the ocean and was home to a long line of seafarers. You can imagine the residents standing on the hill watching the fishermen return with their catch. The panoramic view of the ocean is spectacular – one can watch the boats as they make their way to St. Peter’s Canal on route to the Bras D’Or Lakes, those that are out for a leisurely sail and others that are enjoying a day’s fishing.

Our vacation home is rich in history and a source of family pride. We hope all who enter will enjoy their stay and the beauty of our little island.
