Isle Madame

Isle Madame is a 35 sq. km. island that is located on the southern most tip of Cape Breton Island and is approximately 48 km. east after crossing the gateway (Canso Causeway) to the island.  It boasts some of the most breathtaking scenery along the Fleur de Lis trail and is made up of several small communities.  It’s natural beauty and island culture keep our visitors coming back year after year.  Isle Madame is an ideal location for hiking, fishing, sailing, beach combing or just sitting back and enjoying the ocean breeze.  While your here you may want to visit “La Picasse” our acadian cultural centre, attend one of our summer festivals or enjoy the outdoor summer concerts.  Whatever activity you take part in we know you will enjoy the beauty of our island and the friendliness of the people.
